Hello listers,
I just discovered that the survey mentioned below on Translation Memory systems
and their use is still available for participation up to end September 2004.
The results will be made available to the public (assuming it is anonymous, as
is the case with other LISA sponsored surveys).
Given the very little amount of survey work in this field that eventually is
made available, I encourage listers to participate in this survey, and to
encourage colleagues and customers to do the same.
I've created and conducted several language technology surveys in the past and
know that such efforts help promote the language industry in general. We can
really benefit from the results if we participate in the effort.
Regards,
Jeff

Subject: LISA/OSCAR Translation Memory Survey 2004
Dear colleagues,
LISA/OSCAR is currently conducting a translation memory survey, which
we would like you to take part in.
The goals of this survey are to:
. understand the status of deployment of translation memory
. the business value of translation memories and translation memory
tools (in-house and off-the-shelf) . to understand the profile and
extent of the usage of the OSCAR/TMX standard within the translation
memory market
. and to determine the trends in these areas
We would like you to support this effort by taking the time to
complete the survey.

This survey will run through till the end of September 2004 and the
results will be available for free to LISA Members as well as the
public. Please feel free to forward this email and encourage your
colleagues to participate.
Thank you for your help with this initiative.
Yours truly,
Alex Lam
